September 16 – October 2, 2022 – Playhouse 2000 presents the fourth show in the 2022 seasons, the hilarious farce Leading Ladies, September 16 – October 2 in the Cailloux Theater.
Two down-at-the-heels Shakespearean actors try to take advantage of a rich Pennsylvania widow who is looking to leave her fortune to missing relatives. They plan to impersonate the lost nephews “Max” and “Steve,” and are surprised when the pair turn out to actually be nieces “Maxine” and “Stephanie.” Undeterred, the pair continue the ruse by assuming female form. Their ploy becomes even more complicated when love enters the picture, and the laughs just keep on coming.
We’ll return to the spacious and beautiful Cailloux Theater to create another “all out” production following last season’s spectacular Murder on the Orient Express.
Leading Ladies will be presented Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. and Sundays, September 25 and October 2 at 2:30 p.m.
