From the pen of Ken Ludwig, the master of modern Farce and author of both Noises Off and Moon Over Buffalo comes Lend Me A Tenor, another in his list of hits, with award-winning productions in both New York and London.
Through an amazing series of mistakes and accidents, hapless “wanna-be” Opera singer “Max” finds himself having to take the stage in place of the world-famous Tenor “Tito Morelli,” whom Max and his boss, Impresario “Saunders,” have mistakenly thought was dead!
When Morelli – who is far from deceased – recovers his senses and gets himself into his costume and makeup for the famous role of Otello, perfectly matching Max’s, the confusion is just beginning. Add in an angry Italian wife, an amorous leading lady, and a domineering society doyenne, and you’ve set the stage for a night of hilarity.
