January 8&9, 2027 – Yellow Lab Productions presents Betwixt Now and Sunrise, an original horror play by David McGuff, Friday and Saturday, January 8 and 9 at 7:30 pm in the VK Garage Theater.
July 1897. The schooner Demeter is sailing from Varna to England, crewed by convicts working off their sentences and carrying fifty crates of “experimental earth” for a passenger no one has seen.
When the crew encounters three women on a drifting skiff, Captain Shepard breaks every rule of the sea to bring them aboard. They’re running from someone… or something. As the voyage goes on, the crew is hunted, a black rot spreads through the ship, and the fog closes in, leaving them alone at sea where no one can hear you scream.
Inspired by the voyage of the Demeter in Bram Stoker’s Dracula, a reimagining of the classic story about captivity and choice. A new horror play from Yellow Lab Productions, written by David McGuff.
Rated R for strong horror violence, gore, language, and disturbing thematic content.
