TICKETING POLICY: WHEELCHAIR AND HANDICAPPED ACCESSIBLE SEATING
1. The Cailloux Theater is committed to providing guests with an enjoyable entertainment experience, with equal opportunities to enjoy the Theater’s goods and services. As a guest, if you need wheelchair accessible and companion seating, please contact the box office at (830) 896-9393 or purchase tickets at www.caillouxperformingarts.com. You may also purchase tickets at the box office, located in the theater.
2. Tickets for wheelchair and companion seating locations will be offered so that the number of wheelchair and companion seats available at each price leave is proportionate to the number of seats generally available to the public at each price level. For example, if 60% of the seats for a performance will be offered at price level 1, 60% of the wheelchair and companion seats will be offered at price level 1. The Cailloux Theater may designate which wheelchair and companion seats will be available at each price level.
3. Tickets for seats with removable arm rests and companion seating will be offered so that the number of seats with removable arm rests and companion seats available at each price level is proportionate to the number of seats generally available to the public at each price level.
4. The Cailloux Theater shall give first preference for tickets for wheelchair locations and companion seating for all events at the Cailloux Theater to persons who request such seats for reasons relating to a disability.
A. Designated wheelchair accessible seating and companion seating in each price level will not be sold to any person, except a person requesting such seats for reasons relating to a disability, until all other seats in that ticket price category have been sold, as specified below.
B. In the event that all other seats in each ticket price category have been sold, the Cailloux Theater may release tickets for wheelchair locations and companion seats as follows:
i. The Cailloux Theater may release 50% of the remaining wheelchair locations and companion seats in each price level for sale to individuals without disabilities on the day that is the earlier of (a) the day on which all other seats at that price level for the event have sold out, or (b) two weeks before the event. For purposes of this sub-paragraph, the seats in a price level shall be deemed sold out when only single seats remain available at that price level and the number of such single seats does not exceed 25. The Cailloux Theater may select the locations of the wheelchair and companion seats to be retained.
ii. One week prior to the event, the Cailloux Theater may release all but one of the remaining wheelchair locations and one of the remaining companion seats at each price level for sale to individuals without disabilities. The Cailloux Theater may select the locations of the wheelchair and companion seats to be retained.
iii. At 9:00 a.m. on the day prior to the event, the Cailloux Theater may release any remaining wheelchair locations and companion seats for sale to individuals without disabilities.
5. The Cailloux Theater shall give first preference for tickets for aisle seats with removable arm rests for all events at the theater to person who requests such seats for reasons relating to a disability.
A. Tickets for seats with removable arm rests at each price level shall not be sold to any person, except a person requesting such seats for reasons relating to a disability, until all other seats in that price level have been sold.
B. In the event that all seats in that ticket price level have been sold, the Cailloux Theater may release tickets for seats with removable arms rests as follows:
i. The Cailloux Theater may release 50% of the remaining seats with removable arm rests and their companion seats in each price level for sale to individuals without disabilities on the day that is the earlier of (a) the day on which all other seats at that price level for the event have sold out, or (b) two weeks before the event. For purposes of this sub-paragraph, the seats in a price level shall be deemed sold out when only single seats remain available at that price level and the number of such single seats does not exceed 25. The Cailloux Theater may select the locations of the seats with removable arm rests and their companion seats to be retained.
ii. One week prior to the event, the Cailloux Theater may release all but one of the remaining seats with removable arm rests and one their companion seats at each price level for sale to individuals without disabilities. The Cailloux Theater may select the locations of the wheelchair and companion seats to be retained.
iii. At 9:00 a.m. on the day prior to the event, the Cailloux Theater may release any remaining seats with removable arm rests and their companion seats for sale to individuals without disabilities.
6. The Cailloux Theater shall ensure that individuals with disabilities are able to purchase thickets in the same manner that other persons can do so. In particular:
A. The Cailloux Theater shall ensure that persons who contact the theater’s box office regarding the purchase of tickets for wheelchair locations, companion seating, and aisle seats with removable arm rests for reasons relating to a disability are informed of all available such seating that has not been sold at that time.
B. If tickets for an event are sold through a third-party vendor, the Cailloux Theater shall ensure that: (i) tickets for wheelchair locations, companion seating, and aisle seats with removable arm rests may be purchased via telephone, all available Internet Websites, and all new or developing technologies; and (ii) persons requesting such seating for reasons relating to a disability are informed of all available such seating that has not been sold at that time.
7. To the same extent the general public is permitted to purchase more than two seats for an event at the theater, the Cailloux Theater shall permit wheelchair users to purchase companion seats for each such event.
A. For each ticket for a wheelchair space purchased by an individual with a disability or a third-party purchasing such a ticket at his or her request, the Cailloux Theater shall make available for purchase three additional tickets for seats in the same row that are contiguous with the wheelchair space, provided at the time of purchase there are three such seats available. Such sets may include wheelchair spaces.
B. If patrons are allowed to purchase at least four tickets, and there are fewer than three such additional continuous seat tickets available for purchase, the Cailloux Theater shall offer the next highest number of such seat tickets available for purchase and shall make up the difference by offering tickets for sale for seats that are as close as possible to the accessible seats.
8. The Cailloux Theater shall provide information about the features of available accessible seating in enough detail to reasonably permit an individual with a disability to assess independently whether a given accessible seating location meets his or her accessibility needs, including but not limited to the location of the seats and information about the accessibility of the routes to the seats. Such information shall be provided through whatever means tickets are sold to the public, including the box office of for the Cailloux Theater and any third-party ticket vendors, if any.
