AUDITIONS This Month: Classic Shakespeare and Modern Comedy Coming Soon

It’s time to get on stage with your Playhouse 2000!

Here are two AUDITIONS you’re invited to this month.

“Shakespeare In The Park 2023” – a partnership between Playhouse 2000, the City of Kerrville, and Tivy High School Tech Theater, will present the classic history play Richard III on June 2 and 3 in Louise Hays Park.

Producer/Director Jessica Sturm will hold open auditions for a wide variety of roles on Sunday (2:30) and Monday (6:30), April 16 and 17 in the Werlein Annex Studio.

Season 2023 continues with Sean Grennan’s new comedy

Beer for Breakfast June 9 through 25 in the VK Garage Theater.

Director R Sheldon Boyce and Stage Manager Brad Gilbert will be looking for three men and one woman, all playing age 50 or so. One of the men will be portrayed with some of the physical and vocal limitations of recovery from a stroke.

Auditions are Sunday, April 23 at 2:30 in the Werlein Annex Studio and Monday April 24 at 6:30 in the VK Garage Theater.

No advance preparation is needed for either audition, but advance reading copies of the scripts are available in the P2K Office inside the VK Garage Theater. You can attend either day of audition, and you may audition for both shows, if you like.
