The cast for P2K’s first “Dinner Theater” production has been set, and rehearsals are well under way for Betting On Bloodshed, an interactive comedy murder-mystery by Will Murdock.
The show, under Director Heather Cunningham and Stage Manager Kerri Sparkman, will open in the VK Garage Theater on October 20 for three weekends.
In Betting On Bloodshed we meet the characters of the somewhat seedy “Flying Flamingo Lounge and Casino” in Las Vegas, including the new owner, “Dick Dickson” played by P2K newcomer Chad Ketcher.
Dickson is making some changes to the way things run at The Flying Flamingo, which leads to some unhappy employees and patrons – but which is unhappy enough to kill him?
The potential murderers include “Kevin the Magnificent,” a not-so-magnificent magician played by Rain Snyder; “Gladys” and “Goldie,” two showgirls played by Terri Conatore and Taylor Newton; “Ralphie,” a bartender and “Oscar,” a blackjack dealer, played by Brandon Newton and Brad Gilbert; and “Edna and Ed Hefflefinger,” two apparent tourists played by Mark and Jessica Sturm.
The group also includes security guard “Rhonda Priest” played by Stephanie Weinke; “Sister Mary Bertram, a Nun (or is she?) played by Dakota Edwards; “Kevin’s Mom,” played by Patsy Kimes; and “Kohl Spector,” a rival magician played by Tyler Forsythe.
And YOU get to decide “who dunnit?”
