February 25, 2027 – The Symphony of the Hills presents the fourth concert in the 2026-27 season, Frontiers and Freedom with the Hill Country Youth Orchestras, on Thursday, February 25 at 7 pm in the Cailloux Theater.
American music has long been a favorite of audiences worldwide. This program brings the surprising piano concerto of Leroy Anderson to life with world class pianist, Jeffrey Biegel on stage. Mr. Biegel will then perform a new piano concerto that celebrates America’s 250th anniversary, Peter Boyer’s thrilling Rhapsody in Red, White & Blue, commissioned by a consortium of orchestras across the USA, including your Symphony of the Hills. The second half features two of America’s greatest composers, Morton Gould and Aaron Copland, as we showcase the brilliance of American music alongside the immensely talented students of the Hill Country Youth Orchestra sitting side-by-side with the symphony.
