We are pleased and proud to announce the cast for Sarah Ruhl’s compelling comedy/drama Dead Man’s Cell Phone, directed by Amy Goodyear as the first entry in our new Playhouse NOW! Series.
The group includes Brandon Newton as “Gordon,” Sarah Shodrock as “Jean,” Cher Duffin as “Mrs. Gottlieb,” Tasha Remschel as “Other Woman/Stranger,” Treston Mack as “Dwight,” and Becca Bigott as “Hermia.” Darcey Wagner is Stage Manager.
In Dead Man’s Cell Phone, a chance meeting in a café leads Jean to pick up a ringing cell phone – and change her life forever! It’s an award-winning 2007 play that explores the paradox of modern technology’s ability to both unite and isolate people in the digital age.
With performances at some of the most important regional theaters and on Broadway (starring Mary-Louise Parker), this play earned its place in the forefront of modern Comedy/Drama, and is the perfect title for us to launch our new venture into the avant-garde of the American Theater. Join us!
Dead Man’s Cell Phone will run in the VK Garage Theater from April 14 through 30, on Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 and Sundays (4/23 and 4/30) at 2:30.
Tickets are $24, General Admission.
The Playhouse NOW! Series is designed to explore modern plays intended for adventurous audiences. Patron discretion is advised.
