P2K Youth: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe SOLD OUT

The re-opened Playhouse 2000 Youth Theater will present the stage adaptation of C. S. Lewis’ classic tale The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe this weekend in the VK Garage Theater.

The play tells the timeless story of the Pevensie children and their adventures in Narnia, the fantasy land they reach by walking through a magical wardrobe.

The cast features Bobby Wagner as “Peter,” Shiloh Aery as “Susan,” Brandon Edwards as “Edmund,” and Scarlet Figueroa as “Lucy,” the four children who travel to Narnia and become entangled in an unexpected adventure.

Annabelle Burzynski is “The White Witch,” Mackenzie Dinsmore is “Mr. Tumnus,” Kieran Badey and Adi Hunter are “Mr. and Mrs. Beaver,” Una Mozenko Peterson is “Fenris Ulf,” and Kaylynn Grinstead is “Aslan,” the hero of our story.

Others in the cast include Anthony Alvarado as “Elf,” Marcus Anderson as “Dwarf,” Landry Baethge as “White Stag,” Brylee Booth as “Unicorn,” Cameron Carpenter as “Wood Nymph,” Ashand Maroney as “Wood Nymph,” Peyson Roberts as “Father Christmas,” Delia Robinson as “Centaur,” and Ensemble members Hunter Bolen, Freya Carlson, Eleanor Evans, Willow Kloosterman, Lyla Lockhart, Leona McGibbon, and Harrison Richards.

The entire cast is under the direction of Playhouse 2000 Director of Youth Programming Emily Olson and Youth Theater Assistant Megan Ellisor-Traverso. James Karthauser has instructed the group in how to safely depict both hand-to-hand and sword battles.

Many volunteers have been involved in creating scenic and costume elements for the show, including Riley and Diane Royce-Smith, Kevin Nixon, Georgina Coghlan, Ruth Carlson, Jennifer Edwards, Jen Hunter, and Kim Piel. We also say thank you to Treston Mack, Lynx Brittain, and Derrick Hulce for technical assistance.
