September 3-19 – Playhouse 2000 presents the 2025 TNT Pops! New Play Project Winner, The Henry Clyde Canning Murder House, by Christian Missonak, September 3-19, Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 pm and Sundays, September 12 and 19 at 2:30 pm in the VK Garage Theater.
The Henry Clyde Canning Murder House by Christian Missonak is a darkly comic psychological drama about the adult children of an infamous serial killer. Years after Henry Clyde Canning is convicted of murdering sixteen women, his daughter Elise remains on the family property, running an archery school, while her brother Harry has built a career capitalizing on their father’s notoriety through true-crime media. When Harry returns with plans to turn the family estate into a murder-themed tourist attraction, long-buried secrets and family tensions resurface.
As the siblings clash over how to confront—or profit from—the past, they are forced to examine the lasting impact of violence, the ethics of true-crime entertainment, and the burden of inheriting a notorious legacy. Blending suspense, dark humor, and family drama, the play explores trauma, redemption, and the stories society chooses to consume.
