In the first steps toward re-opening the Cailloux City Center, Playhouse 2000 has begun rehearsals for Paul Slade Smith’s hilarious satire The Outsider.
The cast has been gathering safely under the watchful eye of Stage Manager/Assistant Director Amanda Radkiewicz, who takes temperatures and enforces appropriate sanitation and distancing. The group includes P2K veterans Paul Stafford as Ned Newley, Dana Williams as Ruth Vance, Sarah Brooks as Paige Caldwell, David Remschel as Dave Riley, Gena Daniels as Louise Peakes, Tasha Remschel as Rachel Parsons and newcomer Emery Dorman as A. C. Petersen, all under the direction of R Sheldon Boyce. This script (by the same playwright who wrote Unnecessary Farce, the comedy playing at the Point Theatre in June) provides a close look at the difference between the “image” and the “reality” of political campaigns – and a hilarious send up of politics that celebrates democracy! The show will be presented to a limited audience in the VK Garage Theatre beginning July 10th for three weekends. Seating is strictly limited to allow for social distance safety, so we recommend making reservation early by clicking HERE or calling us at (830) 896-9393. |
