As we look around us at the scary state of The Covid Crisis locally and across the world, there’s been a lot of discussion about how we can continue to offer plays and musicals while living up to our responsibilities to our volunteers, audiences and staff.
The decisions have often focused on keeping volunteer casts and crews as safe as we can, and it seems that means limiting both the size and the nature of rehearsals.
After much thought, we’ve determined that our best option is to rearrange our calendar so that the small-cast shows will happen first, and the big cast stuff will wait ‘till later in the year, when (we hope) the risks will be lower.
So, we’re swapping calendar slots between “Silent Sky” and “Little Shop of Horros,” moving the small-cast show to April and the musical to October/November.
While we think this is for the best, we also know that the change will be hard for some. For that we sincerely apologize. We wish it could be different.
We’ve listed the new production dates for the two shows below. We’ve done the best we can to make everything fit with other events already planned, and, as far as we know, these are solid. Note that there are no changes for other titles in the season (get the full schedule
HERE.)
Given these changes, we look forward to getting back to work. We hope you can join us!
