As you can imagine, getting started with rehearsals for the “Shakespeare in The Park” production of King Lear during the current health crisis was daunting, to say the least.
Because we couldn’t get things started on time, we would be asking the cast and crew to do the impossible if we kept our original production date.
We are continuing to prepare the show for presentation, but it won’t be as planned on June 5 and 6. We are currently planning for this event to add to the festivities on July 3 and 4, with a move to the Annex “Front Lawn”. We’re working on ways to make it easier for the audience to maintain safe distancing, and we’ll offer details on that soon.
